Our Ride

Our bus, with twenty dancers and musicians, five live guinea fowl,
six geeks, and a makeshift sickbay for me on the way back.
Twenty-two hours up, twenty hours back. Hours of unpaved road.

mosque

The North of Ghana is where more Muslims live.
This is a mosque in a town between Kumasi and Wa.
Ghana Border

The border with Burkina Faso. We negotiated with the
border guards to be allowed to walk a bit in the Burkina
border town. I was reprimanded for taking these photos,
since it is not permitted, for some reason, to photograph
the border.
