| I spent a lazy weekend at a backpacker's paradise on Kokrobite
beach, called Millie's Back Yard. It is owned and operated by
an English woman, Wendy, who keeps her yard filled with charming
and simple cabins and reading corners for travellers. The small restaurant has excellent food and picnic tables overlooking the beach, which is filled with fishing boats and lots of joyful kids.
I spent Saturday reading on the porch or in the hammock, listening
to the African Gray parrot fly from tree to tree, whistling like a sailor. |

Kate! Helping me chill out by bringing cold water
to dump over my head. |

The Nothing Late Braiding Shop may do rasta weaves on all
types, but I have not yet fallen to temptation. Looks like
they do manicures, since there's a hand with red nails. But
since the toes seem to be missing from the foot, I suppose
pedicures were discontinued.

The USA shack.
(Lots of American flags in Ghana. Not just after the September
11, 2001 attacks, either. The US flag is like a Nike logofashionable.) |
